Monthly Router Update: February 2025 Highlights


Router Protocol has made significant strides in broadening our ecosystem as February approaches, continuing to lead the charge in cross-chain crypto bridge technology. This month, we've rolled out new cross-chain swap functionalities, integrated additional blockchains, and explored innovative use cases for Router Pay. Alongside these technical advancements, we also saw remarkable growth in user engagement on Nitro. Let's dive into the key highlights of February 2025 and how we drive the future of chain abstraction.


Product Highlights

Solana Cross-Chain Swaps This month, Router Protocol enabled seamless cross-chain swaps between Solana and over 40 other EVM and non-EVM chains. By improving liquidity on Solana, Nitro now allows users to trade meme coins on Solana, showcasing the power of cross-chain crypto bridge technology. This significant advancement is a clear step forward in enhancing the cross-chain wallet protocol, making it easier for users to move assets between chains with minimal friction.


Tron Cross-Chain Swaps via OKX Integration In partnership with OKX, we introduced cross-chain swaps involving the Tron network. This integration provides users with greater flexibility and more options for conducting transactions. By leveraging a cross-chain crypto bridge, we're helping users navigate the complexities of multiple chains while providing a seamless experience. This further strengthens Router Protocol's ability to offer chain abstraction solutions, making transactions across various ecosystems easier and more efficient.


Router Pay: Expanding Use-Cases Building on its January launch, Router Pay has expanded its use cases this month, including merchant payments and centralized exchange (CEX) withdrawals. With these new functionalities, Router Pay is enhancing its role in the cross-chain wallet protocol, allowing users to interact with different blockchain ecosystems seamlessly. This demonstrates the growing significance of chain abstraction, simplifying how users can move funds and assets across chains without needing multiple platforms.


Router Nitro Plugin on Eliza AI Router Nitro's cross-chain capabilities is now accessible through the Eliza AI plugin, enabling users to execute cross-chain swaps and perform transactions directly via AI agents. This integration underscores Router Protocol's dedication to simplifying the user experience by bringing chain abstraction to the forefront, allowing seamless cross-chain transactions and interactions with AI-powered agents. By offering this feature, we're setting new standards in the cross-chain wallet protocol and enhancing the versatility of our ecosystem.


Partnerships, Ecosystem Growth & New Chain Integrations

New Chains Integrated into Router Nitro February marked significant growth for Router Protocol, integrating 6 new mainnet chains and 1 testnet chain into Router Nitro. These additions enhance the cross-chain crypto bridge experience, providing more options for users to engage with multiple ecosystems. As part of our chain abstraction efforts, these integrations allow smoother cross-chain transactions and contribute to Router Nitro's growing ecosystem.

SPACE ID Web3 Domain Service Integration Router Protocol's integration of SPACE ID into Router Nitro allows users to send and receive funds across chains using the SPACE ID .bnb and .arb domains. This integration simplifies the process of cross-chain wallet protocol interactions by eliminating the need for users to copy and paste long recipient addresses. By introducing this feature, we're continuing our focus on chain abstraction, making the cross-chain experience more seamless and user-friendly.
